OCCUPATION

Like a military occupation
Under the auspices of religion
Civilizin heathens, non believers was ya reason
For deceivin, trickin us into conceivin like treason
The question of bein a step up from bein pagan
They came to save us, but instead enslaved us
Cause they didn’t understand us or cared bout our human status
How can you trust a foreigner
Who can’t see, feel nor hear your pain n sufferin
Incitin a lust for blood, sex n domination
They destroyed ours to build a Nation
1st they fake ya, then they fade ya
Wit beads n trinkets, when that fails
They take ya out wit muskets
Blood, sweat n tears through out our fears
Wit papal dispensation, they become ruffians n villains
Like it’s a feudal system, we are the serfs, peasants n slaves
They are the Lords n Masters
Perpetratin salvation, offerin disaster
Body’s are what their after, Souls don’t matter
It wasn’t in our dossiers, aint no serenades
For a scholar or martyr of color
A Malcolm or a Martin, in a society where 1
Is vilified, the other is glorified, they just killed em
We could’ve been Martians, wit the same cold reception
There is no connection, we are beast of burden
Wit them as self appointed wardens
How do you survive, bein eaten alive, forced always to take a dive
An education is what we need to survive, stay alive
In the eyes of outsiders, who decides, what gets denied
As 3/5’s human, aint no union, there aint no problem
Wit the occupation or their pride
It’s just another ride, work at the day’s end
As men or mice, we all will fight for our Life
Thru the stress n strife, til that last breath
Like cock roaches, we’ve withstood the test
Do we have to become American terrorists
Return the favor to take the pressure off our chests
Knowin you could care less, as you divest us of humanness
In a contest to wrest self control, determination n
Turn this into a bigger mess
Got us askin GOD to Bless, when what we need to do is
Reinvest in our spiritual ness, show some unity
Before this all goes kablooey
It’s our duty to rise above all this subversiveness
Light up that N on our chest
Show, prove who is the best, how are you
Gonna overcome that 1ness
Like what you used to say bout my red skinned brethren
I’m feelin the same way bout the rednecked heathens
1 less is what’s best, so that the rest of us can
Keep breathin, I’m tried of this occupation
Find ya self another vocation
Before ya wake up n this is a Dark Nation
You’ll be out wit no way back in
Now aint that a Revelation
What started out as a war, bout bein rich or poor
Under the table we’ve evened the score
I can count bullets or dollars just like you
Matchup, I might have a surplus, this you can trust
Indoctrination or occupation, neither can be integrated
We can only be saved by human relations
Nothin should ever separate us
Not skin color, religion or obligation
After all we need to be Universal beins on oscillation
Unified as 1 congregation.
