It's about time. I've been waiting for this documentary for years and wondering if it would ever come out. I hope the producers are able to GIVE THE DRUMMERS some on the DVD release. Parlliament's beatmakers like Jerome Brailey and Tiki Fulwood played a crucial role in P-Funk's sound.

The funk gods have blessed us with a long awaited "funkomentary" that needs to be told. I think Yvonne Smith deserves her "funk badge" for her arduous work... Please don't think I'm crazy, but I figured out at the age of 10 what real creativity was all about. The PFUNK thang is simple, "freeing yo' mind and letting yo' ass follow." PFUNK is truly "fantasy equals reality." Where else can you find "a chocolate city, that happens to be the nations capital"..., motherships delivering black extraterrestials, underwater parties AND one nation under a groove." GOD bless PFUNK and all it's clones. Wonder what humans will feel the most 1000 years from now??? PFUNK or "all that other stuff???

I would just like to thank all the P-Funk crew for many funky LP's and all the SO FUNKY CONCERTS, from the first coming of the mothership at the old Met Center in Bloomington, MN to the little holes in the walls like the First Ave and the Quest Night Club. I've had alot of your autographs from the brides on the one nation under groove flag and bootys on pillow case. I still have George Clinton's autograph on his Hey man smell my finger. I wanted to get bootys autograph when he was playing with the funk Brothers, but it wasn't in the budget. I was wonding if there is anyway to get some autograghs from the P-Funk crew if so holler back. O by the way I have every ticket stub from all your concerts except the first mothership concert, I have all 6 Bootys ticket stubs as 1 Maceo Parker, 9 P-Funk stubs. Maybe when you come back I can show ya'll all them. They go back to the 70's and your ticket stubs are with great artist like Earth Wind& Fire, The Dells, Booldstone Alicia Keys, Prince, Luther Vandross Hall and Oates and so and so. Much Funk to each and everyone of you. Please come up the Minneapolis,MN. Please don't forget anyone, I would love to hear Booty get busy with his FUNKY BASS

As a lifelong P funk fan, I really don't think a 53 minute film does the legacy of one of the longest running acts in music justice in any way, how can it? Within that time constraint, this is a "drag race" beginning to end. Will it satisfy the hardest of the hardcore funkateers and the denizens of the united maggotdelica? How can it?

I've waited 35 years for this moment to have the story of the Funk laid out before mankind. Thanks to the film makers and producers. Parliament Funkadelic has been the most influential groups in my life. Growing up in Michigan gave me a first listen to this band that was everything from funky to shocking. Their "silly serious" concepts challenged your mind on each album. They may not be the original founding fathers of funk, but they sure took it further than any other group, or person. I pledge my groove allegiance to the Funk, the whole Funk, and nothing but the Funk, so help me Funk!

This.......is.......so........awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I cannot wait till it airs. I hope that PBS will get ahold of more black footage/documentaries of black soul/funk artist (perhaps, even showcase,"Journey Through The Secret Life Of Plants" or "That's The Way Of The World" films, I know there's prints of these somewhere). But, back to the P, funk that is. Us funksters have been waiting a long time for this, and the time has arrived. Thank you PBS. Now excuse me while I go do my thang underwater, baby. Ha ha !!!!!

Finally the story of the P-Funk saga sees the light of day. Glory to the Mothership. Major heartbeat props to Yvonne Smith and the Brazen Hussy crew for bringing me into this long, drawn out, and ultimately liberating and joyful process. I have my DVD recorder as I write this.
