My...Life Disoriented has fresh insights and refreshing perspectives toward what it's like to live in the U.S. as Asian. Although I did not grow up here, I've seen enough stereotypes about Asian American in films and TV shows. I think All American Girl that starred Margaret Cho and Asian American family as a center character of the major network TV show might have been the first attempt at brining Asian American into American living room. The network killed the the show pretty fast. I really appreciate having the opportunity to watch the life of Asian American family life (not like Maxine Hong Kong Kingston's drama and conflict between first and second generation of immigrants). I find myself wanting to know what will happen by the end of the show. I hope the producer seriously consider making it into a series that could run on PBS. We want more of Kimberly and her family stories!

It was engaging, fun, and incredibly refreshing to see Asian Americans portrayed in non stereotypical roles. For once, there were no martial artists, hyper sexed AA women, etc. The massage parlor is questionable, but I'd bet that, if given the opportunity to film more episodes, Eric Byler (director) & Co wouldn't disappoint us.

I watched Short Stack while staying in Dallas with my mother, so thank you to the PBS station in Dallas, Texas, Channel 13, for showing it. My favorite of the shorts was My Life Disoriented. We need to have some honest talk (without being polemic) about some of the political issues raised, including the pressure on API or other "minority" students to sometimes be characterized negatively by their peers if they hang out with "whites" and equally if they hang out only with their own ethnic group. These issues can be tackled in a dramatic show for pre-teens and young adults, not just on Sesame Street!

Hi, I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed the program 'My life Disoriented' and wondered if the story was going to be continued. I also want to thank you for showing a program about asian americans. Being an asian american myself, I rarely see asian actors in a leading role and I'm glad that PBS is willing to show programs like this. 1/2/07

I watched the show. It was great! I'd like to see more shows like it on TV. I hope the show will continue. I can't wait to see what happens. 1/2/07

I thought that My Life Disoriented was the short that most interested me because, it had a fresh appeal to it, and it is so common to be in a new environment and having to overcome the drama of others. Whether it be school,a new city,a new job, or country I think that we all have to face opposition that is only there to cause us to grow. Great Job! 1/2/07

I am writing you in hopes that PBS might seriously consider making "My Life Disoriented" a full-time series. As an Asian American, I find that it is always refreshing to find positive, realistic, and, perhaps most importantly, entertaining portrayals of Asian Americans and their stories in the media. (I am certain that I don't need to remind you of the current dearth of such images as it is already widely known and well documented.) Moreover, as an American, I find myself endlessly fascinated by the myriad of stories and perspectives of all the different peoples which create the multicolored and multifaceted tapestry that is the United States of America. PBS has always been there to tell these stories. And I know that I am not the only one who appreciates it. I feel that "My Life Disoriented" would not only give young Asian Americans images in which they could see themselves but it would also serve to give Americans of all backgrounds further insight and understanding into parts of their own world which they may know nothing about. I think that "My Life Disoriented" would fit right into the great tradition of quality educational and entertaining programming that PBS is known for. Keep up the great work! 12/28/06

My Life...Disoriented was great! We'd like to see more episodes! The story is authentic and deals with real issues of being an Asian American...NOT the silly, typical Asian American stereotypes portrayed on TV. We enjoyed how Claire Yorita Lee presented the story from Kimberly's perspective; her relationships with friends and family and the choices that she is faced with. The writing and acting made it easy to empathize and engage. 12/28/06

As in everyday life teenagers face this reality, as I once did, and even though I am barely in my early twenties I can still remember my own experiences that I could relate to My...Life Disoriented. Might I add that you don't have to be an Asian American to appreciate this film. I'm Mexican American and I would like to state that I really enjoyed this short film. It was very insightful. I would also like to add that the cast was amazing. Lastly I urge the film producers to make it a series or push for more short productions. 12/28/06

I stumbled across Short Stack by accident, and watched My Life...Disoriented with my 14 and 15-year-old daughters. None of us could take our eyes off it! These are such universal themes, the writing and acting is fantastic, and both of my daughters independently commented to me that this should be an ongoing series. This is so much better and more realistic than any "teen life" shows on the air now - AND more interesting! I hope this goes further. 12/27/06

I love this show! It was interesting and you couldn't resist taking your eyes off of the screen! Bravo for the show ^^ It was great! I wish there was a series. I could really relate to this. I want to meet one of the actors or actresses like that Chris Dinh guy and also Di Quon. And other people. This was one of the best shows I've watched this year. I'm visiting California. What a great timing for this to air. Thanks for airing this!

I'm very excited that you're airing "My Life Disoriented". I find it disheartening the lack of representation or misrepresentation of Asian Pacific Islanders on television and so it's fantastic to see a show centered on an API family. I really hope it gets picked up for more shows so we don't have to wait another 12 years for an API show. Kudos for you for airing it and a fervent recommendation for more of the same!

I am writing to say thank you for your efforts in producing and airing My Life Disoriented to the public. As an Asian-American person, I am proud to see Asian stories being represented in the media. I am also asking that you continue to produce said drama and will bring more episodes of My Life Disoriented and bringing it to a larger audience across the country. Again, thank you for your good work.

My...Life Disoriented looks great! I wish it were an actual series. These are great actors and the clips I saw on YouTube were awesome. Please expand this! We need to see more good stories unfolding on PBS, about Americans. Not just Brit-Coms!
