- Former Weathermen member Bill Ayers says: “Did we do something that was horrendous, awful?… I don’t think so. I think what we did was to respond to a situation that was unconscionable.” Do you feel that violence is ever acceptable or justifiable when used as a means for change? If so, when?
- Critics of the Weathermen argue that the group’s tactics leaned more towards terrorism than progressive protest. Do you agree or disagree? What do you feel is the difference between a terrorist and a revolutionary?
- Bernardine Dohrn says that the "myth of the Sixties" might actually serve as a barrier for young activists today, who feel that their actions cannot live up to the movements of the past.
