How do sports affect your life?
I watch the Knicks and the Yankees. It sparks sentimentality for my city. I enjoy the excitement.
Sports make me wish I were more athletic, and took better care of my body.
They show you sportsmanship and how to get along with others.
They just make me feel better physically.
Sports are not really a big part of my life but the sports I do participate in
are usually with my friends, and they are not competitive really. They affect me
by an activity that helps me get into shape.
I try to work out five times a week - jogging, weight training, to keep in shape.
Exercising makes me feel good about myself because I know I'm doing something healthy
for my body. My boyfriend and I have also had an annual football game in mid-winter
with our other friends. Even though I drop the ball most of the time and some rules
almost make my head spin, it feels great to do something healthy and fun with the
important people in my life.
Which sports figures do you find inspiring?
Nancy Carrigan. She performed beautifully even after she was hurt and that must have taken so much work. David Robbinson. He is so smart. He seems to excel at everything he's done, that is alot, and he's always out there helping people. He doesn't seem to expect anything and yet is so giving. |
