These mannequins may be super-thin, but you're a lot more interesting. Plus, you have a head. |

Letter To The Media Students at Dewitt Middle Schoolin Ithaca, NY composed this open letter to the media and fashion industries. Dear Media: Our sixth grade Life and Career Skills class has a few thoughts about what you do. We think you need to stop making innocent people feel bad (mainly kids). We believe that you should make more sizes so people won't feel bad about their bodies. Also, stop editing people's pictures so that they look perfect. You need to put people in magazines or articles and how their real faces and bodies, to show that no one is perfect. Showing that everybody has to look a certain way isn't right. Why are you designing clothes that won't even fit you? The way you design things, you make your models look like stiff Barbie dolls. You barely even notice the models walking down the runway. Would men stop making their muscles big by using steroids, because it is disgusting to see all those muscles and veins sticking out of their arms and shirts. It's your fault they're hurting themselves, because of the fake images you show to people. You need to stop worrying about your worthless money. In all, we want you to stop showing fake images so people whon't feel bad about themselves.
Sincerely, Would you like to sign this letter? Send us an e-mail and we'll add your name. |
