Sgt. Kuroki delivers an address in the auditorium of Heart Mountain High School. Seated behind him are "community councilmen, Project Director Robertson, Nobu Kawai (associate editor of the Sentinel), Hisa Hirashiki of Community activities, and Geo. Nakaki, Councilman." Kawai is believed to be the author of the most virulent of the Sentinel's anti-resister editorials earlier in the month. April 27, 1944
