I was born for a storm, and a calm does not suit me.
First, check to make sure that the computer you are using is equipped with a DVD-ROM drive, and that the disc itself is not damaged. On a Windows PC the Educator's Toolkit will auto-start after inserting the disc into the your computer's DVD-ROM drive. If the disc fails to auto-start, then open the "My Computer" window, and double-click the DVD icon labeled "Andrew Jackson." The DVD is not designed to auto-start on Macintosh computers and must be launched manually from the desktop.
The Andrew Jackson: Good Evil & the Presidency Educator’s Toolkit DVD is actually an interactive computer application and is designed to work on both Windows and Macintosh computers. The DVD-ROM format allows for more interactivity and content then is currently possible with a standard DVD video disc.
Make sure that the computer you are using meets the minimum system requirements. Try quitting all other applications to maximize memory allocated to the DVD-ROM. Adjust the display settings of your monitor from "Highest (23 bit)" [Millions of Colors] to "Medium (16 bit)" [Thousands of Colors]

This DVD-ROM is designed to use the audio controls built into your computer. To achieve higher audio levels, please use in conjunction with external speakers.
To make the application go full screen, select "Full Screen" under View in the Adobe Flash Player toolbar. You may also click Ctrl+F.
To switch to other programs while you are viewing the DVD-ROM in full-screen mode, simply press the escape key to exit full-screen mode. Power user tip: you may also switch between any (active) applications by pressing the key combination Alt-Tab (on PC), and Cmd-Tab (on Mac)
The best way to print Images, maps & and documents available on the DVD-ROM is to click the "PDF" button (available on many screens) to open a formatted version of the document in Adobe Reader. You may also use the "Print" button to print a screen capture of the current screen.
