1 | Organize an Andrew Jackson Museum Exhibit

1. Break into your groups (3-4 students per group) as assigned by your instructor. Select a leader who will be in charge of group discussions and keeping track of the work you accomplish both individually and as a group. The group leader should keep a work log that includes assigned tasks and due dates.
2. As a group, review the provided resources, discussing possible objects that you could use.
3. Once finished reviewing the resources, select your top five items. Have your teacher review them. Make any appropriate adjustments to your list based on his/her feedback.
4. Working individually or in pairs, you should return to the resources and take specific notes on their topic. Make sure you indicate on your notes where you found the information. If appropriate, a member of the group could be assigned to create sketches or drawings of the objects.
5. Once you finish researching the topic, write a draft of your justification.
6. In your group, share your drafts. For each item, discuss possible changes and decide as a group the best way to justify the object you selected for the Hermitage contest.
7. Combine the artwork with the written description.
8. Present your museum items to the class.
