101 Back Story --

A zany trip to the past where we learn what inspired Shari to open a pizza parlor and where the "music" in The Music Pizza came from. The gang learns to read rhythmical notation. Songs: "Don't Go," "Reading Rhythm," "We're In This Together."

102 My Dog Has Fleas --

Hush Puppy brings home a stray dog and the kids learn how the ukelele is tuned. Songs: "I Do Not Want A Dog," "My Dog Has Fleas," "You Can't Be Mine, But We Can Still Be  Friends." Taran Noah Smith, star of the ABC series "Home Improvement," plays himself.

103 Musicians of Bremen --

Lamb Chop explores the variety of musical instruments from which she can choose. Junior and the gang tell her the story of "The Musicians of Bremen," a children's tale in which animals venture into a robber's den and find sacks of stolen musical instruments. Songs: "Copy Cat," "The Musicians of Bremen."

104 Blow Hard --

From a harmonica-playing cowboy, Charlie learns the value of practicing and the difference between notes and chords.
He realizes that you "gotta play bad before you can play good." Songs:   "You Gotta Play Bad." "The In and Out Song," "Me and   My Monica."

105 Follow the Leader --

In order to play in a parade, the Charlie Horse Music Pizza Band discovers they need a leader and they learn to conduct songs that count in two. Songs: "Independence Day Tango," "Charlie Horse Music Pizza Marching Band," "Everybody Wants To Lead the Big Parade." Guest Star: M*A*S*H* producer/writer Burt Metcalfe plays Mr. Nichols, teacher and school bandleader.

106 Spooky Opera Show --

For Cookie's birthday present, the gang composes an original opera telling the story of the Headless Horseman.  To perform their opera, the kids learn singing techniques and breath control. Songs: "Figaro Song," "Tra-La-La," "Ichabod's Opera." Lloyd Bochner, star of "Dynasty," plays the former owner of the Music Pizza.-

107 A Pirate's Life --

Hush Puppy finds a map and the kids set out to dig up a hidden treasure. They discover that reading music is like reading a map.
Songs: "Those They Ain't Bitin' Blues," "Follow The Music Road," "When You're A Pirate," "The Sun, The Beach And The Music."  Eric Troyer, member of Electric Light Orchestra, plays himself. 
 

108 The Audition --

When she is the only one not cast in a production of "Little Red Riding Hood," Lamb Chop puts on her own version, playing all the parts. Lamb Chop learns to sing with feeling and about the need to rehearse. Songs: "I Don't Have To Do A Thing But Sing," "I Could Be The Bad Guy," "Little Red Riding Hood."

109 Group Soup --

While planning a fiesta to celebrate a friend's new American citizenship, Shari introduces Mexican music and the waltz. Songs: "History Lesson," "Albondigas Soup," "One, Two, Three Waltz," "If You've Not Seen a Mexican Hat Dance, You've Seen Nothing Exciting At All." "Jeopardy" host Alex Trebek plays himself.

110 Rapunzel --

Shari tells the story of Rapunzel at Lamb Chop's birthday party. They sing to the rhythm of their heart beats and discover that music is written to a beat and that two different songs can be sung together at the same time. Songs: "I Love To Hear Me Sing," "My Heart," "Rapunzel, Rapunzel," "Fugue: My Heart & Rapunzel, Rapunzel." Bryton McClure, star of the CBS series "FamilyMatters," guest stars.

111 Toy Exchange --

The Music Pizza sponsors a Toy Exchange and the kids learn that music is almost any sound organized into patterns. Songs: "We're Having a Toy Exchange," "You Turned It Into Music," "I Love Toys."

112 Charlie On The Run --

When the sound of the Ice Cream truck lures Charlie Horse into debt, he discovers the power and influence of music to affect our moods. Songs: "The Music Made Me Do It," "Charlie's Ice Cream Itch Song," "The Ice Cream Song." Guest Star: Monty Hall, host of TV's popular "Let's Make a Deal," plays himself.

113 Wise Queen --

Shari tells the story of the Wise Queen and Lamb Chop discovers that there's no "best" music -- everyone can enjoy a wide variety of musical styles. Songs: "Keep Your Ears Open," "Latino Sound," "The Best Kind of Music," "Get Well Lamb Chop," "Make New Friends."

114 Star Spangled Charlie --

Charlie Horse overcomes his fear of singing in front of other people when he is asked to sing the national Anthem at Slugger Stadium. He learns about harmony and the fact that most lyrics tell a story. Songs: "Talk It Out," "The Story of the Star Spangled Banner," "Star Spangled Banner." M*A*S*H* writer/producer Burt Metcalfe guest stars as Mr. Nichols, a teacher and school bandleader.

115 Charlie's Ant --

Charlie Horse's ant farm throws the Music Pizza into a tizzy. Junior is finally convinced of the importance of the tuba as the bass line in the orchestra. Songs: "Ants in the House," "I Love A Parade," "Pizza, Pizza, Pizza." Al Waxman, a regular on the hit series "Cagney & Lacey," guest stars as Cookie's (Dom DeLuise) father.

116 Whistle While You Work --

Shari plans to sell the Music Pizza and asks the kids to help clean up the place. Faced with this boring task, the kids use the tempo of work songs to inspire them and learn about "repeats" in music. Songs: "A Most Unusual Place," "We'll Do Anything For You Music Pizza," "Get Rid of the Skunk," "When Chopin Wrote This Little Song," "Sing a Little Work Song."

117 Jazzy --

The gang's benefit concert on the beach turns into a disaster when the wind blows away their music. Shari, with help from jazz great Diana Krall, saves the day by introducing jazz improvisationand scat singing. Songs: "Busy, Busy, Body," "Scat Song," "The Drum Song," "Drum Song" with Diana Krall and Lamb Chop.

118 Hush Puppy The Hero --

While Hush Puppy rescues a little boy from a "sea monster," Junior teaches Cookie about piano playing in exchange for Cookie teaching him to drive. Songs: "Sea Monster," "Finger Jive," Keyboard Song," "Our Hero."
 

119 Can I Sing You My Song --

Charlie Horse discovers that composers write music and can make money from it. That inspires him to compose his own Happy Birthday song. Songs: "Anyone Can Write A Song," "Hap Hap Happy Birthday To You," "What Am I? I'm A Clown."

120 Drum Show --

A surprise visit from Shari's friend, Gujaaw, a Native North American drummer, known as the "Heartbeat of the Haida Nation," stimulates excitement about drums and drumming. Songs:  "When You Need A Phone," "Rhythm."
