Sen. Bill Nelson discusses NASA and the future of space exploration, and Tom Arnold explains that his home state of Iowa takes its politics seriously.
Sen. Bill Nelson
Bill Nelson was first elected to the U.S. Senate in 2000. A lifetime Floridian, he previously served six years as a member of the state Cabinet and 12 years as a congressman. He's an expert on NASA, who, after intensive training, spent six days on the Space Shuttle Columbia as a payload specialist. Since, he's worked to protect the environment and been an advocate for space exploration. Nelson's assignments include the Budget, Armed Services and Finance committees—the latter of which is key to healthcare reform.
Tom Arnold
Host of Fox Sports Net's The Best Damn Sports Show Period, Arnold once worked at a meat packing plant. His co-workers would never imagine that he'd win a Peabody Award for writing and a Golden Globe for writing and producing. Arnold set up a writing scholarship and runs an acting workshop for students at a community college in Iowa. He's also active with various children's charities.
