Kevin Nealon reflects on the political issues of the day and Mekhi Phifer shares how he stumbled into acting.
Kevin Nealon
Kevin Nealon has been in show business for almost 30 years. He was the longest-running cast member in Saturday Night Live history and has appeared in several of his SNL cast mates' films, including Daddy Day Care and Anger Management. Nealon began his career at L.A.'s legendary Improv, while tending bar, and continues to do stand-up comedy around the country. Now starring in Showtime's Weeds, he's also written his first-ever book, which chronicles his experiences during his wife's pregnancy.
Mekhi Phifer
For his first audition, Mekhi Phifer walked 40 blocks to get headshots from Woolworth. It was worth the effort and he beat out more than 1,000 candidates for the lead in Spike Lee's Clockers. Since then, he's played diverse characters in films and on TV and was a regular on NBC's ER for six seasons. The New York native owns six Athletes Foot store franchises in California and is chairman of the board of trustees of The Vine Group USA, a nonprofit organization that provides educational resources to universities in Africa.
