Janet Clayton
One of the most knowledgeable journalists in the newspaper business, Janet Clayton is editor of the Los Angeles Times editorial pages. She began her career as an intern at the paper's DC bureau. Clayton's work has been widely recognized. She was the editor of a series on the homeless mentally ill, which won the Pulitzer Prize in 2002. She recently co-moderated the Democratic presidential candidate debate.
