Sojourner magazine founder Jim Wallis discusses the role of religion in this year's election. Actors - and real-life couple - Boris Kodjoe and Nicole Ari Parker describe how their relationship impacts working together.
Nicole Ari Parker
Actress Nicole Ari Parker is best known for her role on the hit drama series, Soul Food. A graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, the Baltimore native is a student of drama and dance and is also a published poet. She began her acting career in small-stage productions in Harlem. In addition to an extensive theater background, her film credits include Boogie Nights and Remember the Titans. Parker and real-life fiancé, Boris Kodjoe, star in UPN's new series, Second Time Around.
Jim Wallis
A commentator on ethics and public life, Jim Wallis spent his student years in the civil rights and antiwar movements and founded Sojourners magazine as a Christian commitment to social justice. In '95, he helped form Call to Renewal, a national federation of churches, denominations and faith-based organizations across the political spectrum, working to overcome poverty. Wallis offers regular commentary and analysis for radio and TV, and his columns appear in various major newspapers.
Boris Kodjoe
Boris Kodjoe grew up in Germany, is fluent in four languages and was a top junior tennis player - a track that wouldn't have typically taken him to Hollywood. A back injury ended his tennis career and, later, an agent persuaded him to try modeling. Hollywood took notice, and guest-starring roles on such sitcoms as Steve Harvey and For Your Love, and a turn in the film, Love and Basketball, led him to a role in the TV hit, Soul Food. Kodjoe can next be seen in UPN's new show, Second Time Around.
