Virginia Sen. George Allen expects the GOP to maintain its Senate majority. Comedienne Mo'Nique says she's content with her size and happy with herself.
Sen. George Allen
Having won a tight race, Virginia's Sen. George Allen is in his freshman Senate term. The eldest son and namesake of the late Redskins coach, he was previously the state's governor. Allen was tapped to lead the GOP's tech task force and to chair the Commerce Committee's technology subcommittee. As National Republican Senatorial Committee Chair, he has the task of expanding his party's slender Senate majority. Allen also sits on the Foreign Relations and Small Business and Entrepreneurship committees.
Mo'Nique
Known for her role on The Parkers, Mo'Nique's humor has taken her from college audiences to adult comedy clubs. She developed a fashion line and wrote Skinny Women Are Evil, in which she shares her frustration in a world designed for the skinny. Her credits include the film,Phat Girlz, host of the TV music series, Showtime at the Apollo—the first female comedian to do so—exec producer of Oxygen's, Mo'Nique's F.A.T. Chance, and host of VH1's Charm School. She still does stand-up whenever possible.
