Times Jerusalem bureau chief Matt Rees speculates on what it will take to achieve peace in the Middle East. Author Tom Wolfe describes how behavior on college campuses has changed over the years.
Matt Rees
Time magazine's award-winning Jerusalem bureau chief Matt Rees has access to people on both sides of the Middle East conflict. In his new book, Cain's Field, he explores the internal conflicts in Israeli and Palestinian societies. Rees was born in Wales and studied at Oxford and the University of Maryland. He's worked as a correspondent in London, DC, NY and the Middle East and has written for Newsweek, The Scotsman and The Jerusalem Post. He's also published short stories and non-fiction.
Tom Wolfe
Tom Wolfe is often called the Father of New Journalism. He's credited with introducing "the right stuff," "radical chic" and "good ol' boy" into written language. Before becoming a popular - and controversial - author, Wolfe had a ten-year newspaper career. Since his first novel, The Bonfire of the Vanities, he's become quite used to having his books land on The New York Times bestseller list. His latest, I Am Charlotte Simmons, is about contemporary college life.
