Versatile actress Annette Bening is skillful in comic and dramatic roles. She began her career on the stage in San Francisco and New York and has an impressive list of film and stage credits, including Bugsy, American Beauty and Coastal Disturbances - a debut stage peformance for which she won a Tony nomination. When Bening pursued roles on the big screen, her Oscar nod for The Grifters powered her to the rank of leading lady. She recently earned a third Oscar nomination for Being Julia and will soon be seen in the film, Mrs. Harris.
