DNC treasurer, Andrew Tobias, talks personal finance. Counting Crows lead singer Adam Duritz reflects on his Oscar nod for Best Original Song.

Award-winning writer Andrew Tobias has made a career of taking the mystery out of money. He's the author of numerous books, including the New York Times bestseller, The Only Investment Guide You'll Ever Need. Although his main theme is investment, he's also written on politics, insurance and other topics. Tobias is treasurer of the Democratic National Committee and an opponent of the GOP's efforts to privatize social security. He's also an activist and serves on the Human Rights Campaign board.

This year, Adam Duritz can add Oscar nominee to his resumé. The innovative lyricist and piano player received a Best Original Song nod for Shrek 2's 'Accidentally In Love.' Duritz is the lead singer of the rock band Counting Crows, which he co-founded with guitarist David Bryson in San Francisco. The Baltimore, MD native has enjoyed much success since the band's '93 debut album, 'August and Everything After.' Duritz has also dabbled in film production with the movies The Locusts and Burn.
