Former GE CEO Jack Welch describes what makes "winning" companies. Singer-songwriter Tori Amos says motherhood has changed everything for her.

Jack Welch retired in '01 as General Electric's CEO. During his 40-year career - 20 at the helm - he was known as personable, candid and demanding. He streamlined GE, made it more competitive and was named 'Manager of the Century' by Fortune magazine. Welch joined GE after getting his Ph.D. in chemical engineering and quickly moved up the ladder. At age 44, he was the youngest CEO in company history. Since retirement, he's lectured around the world and become a best-selling author. Winning is Welch's new book.

Singer-songwriter Tori Amos has an unconventional musical style and writes profound lyrics. She rose to fame with her breakthrough '92 album Little Earthquakes and continued to build up a cult-like following with subsequent releases. The Beekeeper is her first CD since '02. Her book, Tori Amos: Piece by Piece, explores her use of music to express her unique personal history, including an experience with rape. In '94, Amos co-founded RAINN, a 24/7 confidential toll-free hotline for sexual assault victims.
