Six Feet Under creator Alan Ball gives insider scoop on the show's final season. Jazz vocal improviser Ra˙l Midón shares how being blind affects his music and performs "State of Mind," from his debut CD.

Based on his guitar technique, the harmonies of his trumpet vocals and his powerful live performances, RaË™l Midón has been called a 'virtuoso' by The New York Times. Born blind, Midón took guitar lessons from a flamenco player before turning to classical then jazz guitar. His style now straddles soul, pop and jazz. He began his career as a studio musician in Miami's Latin music scene before moving to New York, where he gained a following on the club circuit. "State of Mind" is Midón's much anticipated debut recording.

Famous for the Oscar-winning American Beauty - his first produced feature screenplay - Alan Ball is on a roll. Six Feet Under, which he exec-produces, is a critically acclaimed success. He created the award-winning HBO series to escape the language and content constraints of the networks. His other TV credits include the sitcoms Grace Under Fire and Cybill. Before moving to Hollywood, Ball was a noted comedic playwright in New York. He hopes to make his film directing debut with the recently-optioned Towelhead.
