Neal Boortz is the author of the recent New York Times best-seller The FairTax Book. Best known for his nationally syndicated talk radio show, Boortz is an outspoken Libertarian. He is toying with the idea of running for President on the Libertarian Party ticket after he retires from talk radio. Boortz has been nominated "NewsTalk Personality of the Year" by the readers of Radio and Records Magazine. In February 2002, he won the award.

For the past few years, actress Denise Nicholas has focused on her writing. Her newly-released debut novel, Freshwater Road, is a coming-of-age story set in '64's Freedom Summer. In it, she draws on her memories as a teen touring with the Free Southern Theater. Nicholas' acting credits include Room 222 and In the Heat of the Night, for which she also wrote, and a number of films, including Let's Do It Again. She earned L.A. Emmy Awards for Voices of Our People, a celebration of African American poetry.
