Former Detroit mayor Dennis Archer discusses the safety and security of Rosa Parks' legacy. The Boondocks creator Aaron McGruder admits there can be repercussions for pushing the envelope too far.
Dennis Archer
Dennis Archer rose from humble beginnings to The National Law Journal's list of the 100 Most Powerful Attorneys in the U.S. After serving on the Michigan Supreme Court, he was twice elected mayor of Detroit. During his last year as mayor, he was also president of the National League of Cities. Archer was the first person of color to become president of the American Bar Association. He chairs the Dickinson Wright law firm and, in '04, was appointed legal guardian for the interests of civil rights icon Rosa Parks.

Controversial cartoonist Aaron McGruder is one of the most important voices of his generation. Syndicated since '99 and in more than 250 newspapers, The Boondocks - about a group of African American city kids adjusting to life in white suburbia - has attracted national and international media attention for its unapologetic and humorous approach to race. McGruder is exec producing a half-hour animated series based on the comic strip, which premieres this weekend in the Cartoon Network's Adult Swim programming block.
