Jeff Valdez
Jeff Valdez co-founded SÌ TV, the first English-language Latino cable network. He grew up in a Pueblo, CO housing project and first tried stand-up before running his own comedy club for more than a decade. His TV career began when he created, produced and hosted a local L.A. series, Comedy Compadres. Valdez also helped start the San Antonio-based Latino Laugh Festival and, as an exec with Tri-Star Television, created and co-exec-produced several pilots. In '05, Advertising Age named Valdez to its "Marketing 50' list.
Doris Roberts
Five-time Emmy winner Doris Roberts has more than 50 years in the business. Before becoming an "overnight star' in Everybody Loves Raymond, her versatile career encompassed Broadway, TV and films. Roberts' signature line from the hit show is the title of her memoir, Are You Hungry, Dear? Aging gracefully - and successfully - didn't keep the feisty actress from testifying before Congress on age discrimination in Hollywood. She's active in many charitable organizations, including the Children Affected by AIDS Foundation.
