Jackie Spinner went from editor of her college newspaper to an embedded reporter on the front line in Iraq. She writes about her war experience in Tell Them I Didn't Cry. Spinner started at The Washington Post as an intern and has been a staff writer since '95. The Illinois native has covered everything from accounting reform to Iraq reconstruction contracts to the Hussein trial. She edits the Journalism and Women's Symposium newsletter and participates in a high school journalism development program.

Andre Braugher initially took interest in acting as a way to meet the ladies. After performing in a production of Hamlet, he changed his major at Stanford and took to his craft. In addition to his Emmy-winning turn as Det. Pembleton on Homicide: Life on the Street, his credits include his film debut in the Oscar-winning Glory, Get on the Bus and TV's The Court-Martial of Jackie Robinson. Braugher also won an OBIE for his stage work. The versatile actor returns to TV as a criminal mastermind in the new FX drama, Thief.
