As Newsweek's managing editor - which he became at age 29 - Jon Meacham directs the coverage of breaking news, politics and international affairs. The New York Times named him "one of the most influential editors in the news magazine business." He's also author of American Gospel: God, the Founding Fathers, and the Making of a Nation, and the best-seller, Franklin and Winston. The Tennessee native began his career with the Chattanooga Times and, in '93, became the editor of The Washington Monthly.

Ann Louise Bardach is an award-winning investigative journalist. She's covered Cuba for more than a decade in numerous publications, including The New York Times, Condé Nast Traveler and Vanity Fair, where she was a contributing editor. She's also a critically-acclaimed author. Her book Cuba Confidential was named one of the ten best nonfiction books of '02 by the Los Angeles Times. Bardach began writing after grad school at Hunter College. She's the winner of the prestigious PEN West Award for Journalism.
