Oscar-nominated songwriter Elvis Costello and New Orleans legend Allen Toussaint discuss their collaboration on the acclaimed CD, "The River in Reverse."

Allen Toussaint has influenced almost every genre of American music, from country to the theater. A Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, the producer-arranger-pianist-singer-songwriter has scored hit after hit on various labels and worked with the best in the business. The Big Easy legend supports a variety of community and charity programs in his hometown, including New Orleans Artists Against Hunger and Homelessness. His latest project is 'The River in Reverse,' a collaboration with Elvis Costello.

Elvis Costello is best known for his performances with The Attractions - with whom he was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. He's also had successful projects encompassing a wide range of musical styles, including classical, jazz and opera. The Oscar-nominated songwriter was artistic chair for the '95 Meltdown Festival and has collaborated with the likes of pop songwriter Burt Bacharach and New Orleans legend Allen Toussaint. Born and raised in England, Costello plays guitar, harmonica and piano.
