The Cook Political Report's Amy Walter handicaps key Congressional races in the midterm elections. British singer-songwriter Corinne Bailey Rae talks about her musical inspiration and performs a song from her self-titled debut CD.

Amy Walter is Senior Editor for the Cook Political Report, a nonpartisan newsletter that analyzes elections and campaigns. She has an extensive background in electoral politics and also does analysis for CNN, where she provided Election Night commentary the last two general elections. In '00, she won The Washington Post Outlook section's Crystal Ball competition for her accurate predictions of election outcomes. Walter was previously adjunct professor at American University's School of Communication.
Corinne Bailey Rae
British singer-songwriter Corinne Bailey Rae made history when her self-titled debut album entered the UK album chart at #1. Named best new artist in the BBC News online Sound of 2006 poll, Rae started singing harmonies in church and studied classical violin. At age 15, she started her own indie band and, during college, worked in a local jazz club and did some session work. Rae earned the attention of the major record label bosses on a collaboration project with Craig David mentor Mark Hill.
