The Atlantic Monthly's James Fallows comments on U.S. plans for Iraq before the war. The CW network entertainment president Dawn Ostroff explains the logic behind the UPN-WB merger.

James Fallows says the Bush Administration thought Iraq would be easier to handle.
For more than 20 years, James Fallows has written for The Atlantic Monthly on a variety of subjects. He was previously an editor and writer for U.S. News & World Report, Washington Monthly and Texas Monthly and was President Carter's chief speechwriter. The Harvard grad and Rhodes Scholar designed 'software for writers' at Microsoft and taught at UC Berkeley's journalism school. He's also founding chairman of the New America Foundation. Fallows' books include Blind Into Baghdad.
Dawn Ostroff
Named on several lists of powerful Hollywood executives, Dawn Ostroff helms entertainment for The CW - a merger of the former UPN and WB networks. She has programming experience on both sides of the process, including exec positions with UPN, Lifetime and 20th Century Fox Television, and has been involved in developing many hit TV series, including Buffy the Vampire Slayer, America's Next Top Model, Veronica Mars and Everybody Hates Chris. Ostroff began her career in news at a Miami radio station.
