NYU's Brennan Center director, Michael Waldman, discusses the potential for widespread voting irregularities on Election Day. Actor Ed Harris talks about his preparation to play the title role in Copying Beethoven.
Michael Waldman
One of the few senior aides who remained with President Clinton through both terms, Michael Waldman is a leading expert on the presidency and public communication. As chief speechwriter, he created more State of the Union and Inaugural Addresses than anyone else in history. Since leaving the White House, he's taught at Harvard's John F. Kennedy School of Government and written several books, including My Fellow Americans. Waldman became director of NYU's Brennan Center for Justice in '05.
Ed Harris
From cult favorite Knightriders to a Golden Globe-winning turn in The Truman Show and four Oscar nods, Ed Harris' acting career has spanned more than two decades. He's proven his skills behind the camera as well. Harris made his directorial debut with the critically acclaimed film, Pollock, and has co-written, co-produced and stars in his next effort, Appaloosa. The New Jersey native was a star athlete in high school and attended Columbia University before beginning his career on stage.
