The L Word's Cybill Shepherd talks about opportunities in Hollywood for older women. Pan's Labyrinth's director Guillermo del Toro reflects on his love of monsters and the symbolism in his films.

A former beauty queen and model, Cybill Shepherd has enjoyed a thriving career as an actress. The three-time Golden Globe award winner earned star status on the detective-comedy series, Moonlighting, and her self-titled sitcom. Shepherd is also an accomplished singer, having made more than 10 albums. She's an outspoken activist and lent financial support to the National Civil Rights Museum in her hometown of Memphis, TN. Shepherd joins the cast of Showtime's The L Word in its new season.

Guillermo del Toro started directing at age 8, using a Super-8 camera. After spending time as a special effects make-up artist and forming his own company, he exec-produced his first feature at age 21. Listed as one of Time's 50 Young Leaders for the New Millennium before he made his third film, Toro's credits include Blade II, Hellboy and Crone - his feature directorial debut, which put him on the American indie map. His new film, Pan's Labyrinth, earned a Best Foreign Language Film Golden Globe nod.
