Armed Services Committee member Sen. Jack Reed--who has been to Iraq more than anyone in the Senate--comments on whether the Iraq troop surge has worked. Actor Tim Daly talks about his new series, Private Practice.

Jack Reed was elected to the U.S. Senate from Rhode Island in '96. He's a senior member of the Armed Services Committee and serves on seven of the 12 subcommittees of the Appropriations Committee. He served three terms in the House, where he championed child health care and campaign finance reform. A West Point graduate and former Army Ranger and paratrooper, he holds a law degree from Harvard and spent a year with a Washington, DC law firm. Reed also served three terms in the state senate.

Tim Daly is well known for his eight seasons on the sitcom Wings. Continuing the family tradition, he began acting in summer stock while attending Vermont's Bennington College and has made his mark with credits that include the CBS remake of The Fugitive, the award-winning drama, Execution of Justice, which he also exec-produced, and several appearances in HBO's megahit, The Sopranos—for which he won an Emmy nod this year. Daly stars in the upcoming Grey's Anatomy spin-off, Private Practice.
