Sally Quinn, On Faith co-moderator and longtime Washington Post journalist, weighs in on the role of faith in the '08 presidential election. East African writer Ngugi wa Thiong'o explains Wizard of the Crow—his first novel in nearly two decades.

Writer Ngugi wa Thiong'o is one of East Africa's leading novelists. His books have been translated into more than 30 languages, and his Weep Not Child was the first major novel in English by an East African. His writings on corruption in his native Kenya led to his ‘77 imprisonment. Upon release, he was barred from college/university positions and went into exile. He's taught at several institutions and is currently a professor at UC Irvine (CA). Wizard of the Crow is his first novel in nearly two decades.

Quinn began her journalism career as a Post reporter and became known for her talent of drawing out her interview subjects. She's also written four books, including two novels and a memoir, We're Going to Make You a Star, an account of her stint as co-anchor for CBS Morning News.
