Former White House counsel John Dean is a lecturer and best-selling author of such books as Broken Government, Worse than Watergate and Conservatives without Conscience. Barry Goldwater, Jr. represented California in Congress for 14 years and remains a champion of the conservative political movement started by his father, Sen. Barry Goldwater. As co-authors of Pure Goldwater, the two men shed new light on the late senator—from his honest thoughts on Nixon to his growing discomfort with the rise of the extreme right.
