NBC News' Tom Brokaw, moderator of the second presidential debate, discusses the need for more people of color and women moderators. Actor-comedian Richard Belzer describes how his Law & Order: SVU character and the show have impacted his view of police officers, crime and victims.

Tom Brokaw is one of America's most respected journalists. The former NBC Nightly News anchor-managing editor has earned most of the major broadcasting awards, including two Peabodys and several Emmys. A South Dakota native, he began his career in Omaha and Atlanta before joining NBC in '66. Brokaw is also a best-selling author. Since leaving the anchor chair in '04, he continues to provide his expertise to NBC News. He was also selected to moderate the second presidential candidate debate of the '08 campaign.

Richard Belzer is best known as Det. John Munch—the longest-running character on U.S. primetime drama TV. The veteran stand-up comic is in his 10th season on Law & Order: SVU. His talent has also been featured in off-Broadway productions, radio and film. Belzer admits to being asked to leave every school he ever attended and has drawn his comedic material from previous jobs as a reporter, teacher, census-taker, jewelry salesman and dockworker. He's written several books, including I Am Not a Psychic!, the second in a series of novels.
