Michigan's Gov. Jennifer Granholm discusses the crisis for the U.S. auto industry and its impact on the country. ER's Noah Wyle reflects on the arc of the character he plays on the long-running hit series and his role in the feature film An American Affair.

Jennifer Granholm was re-elected as governor of Michigan in '06. During her tenure, she's introduced the nation's first bulk-buying pool for prescription drugs, championed universal access to higher education and worked to grow a new alternative energy industry in the state. She began her public service career as a clerk for Judge Damon Keith on the Circuit Court of Appeals and served as Detroit's federal prosecutor and state attorney general. She's an honors graduate of U.C. Berkeley and Harvard Law School.

Emmy-nominated actor Noah Wyle is best known for his portrayal of Dr. John Carter on the NBC drama series ER. For the finale season, he's reprised the role that he held for 11 years—longer than anyone else in the original ensemble cast. Wyle is also artistic producer of the L.A.-based Blank Theater Company, which stages young playwrights' festivals, and has film credits that include A Few Good Men and An American Affair. In his spare time, he supports several organizations, including the Human Rights Watch Council.
