Mary Higgins Clark's debut suspense novel, Where Are the Children—in its 75th printing—marked a turning point in her life. Since then, each of her novels has made the best-seller list, two were made into features, and many have been made into TV films. The New York native began her career writing short stories and radio scripts. She's also written a memoir and a children's book and co-authored four holiday novels. Clark is a former president of Mystery Writers of America and an advocate for literacy programs.
