With his major CD debut, "Get Rich or Die Tryin'," 50 Cent cemented his escape from the poverty-stricken streets of his rough NY neighborhood. By '03, with the help of Eminem and Dr. Dre, he was a crossover success and one of the world's highest-selling rappers. He made history in '05 when he became the first solo artist to have three singles on the Billboard top five in the same week. He's written a best-selling memoir, co-starred in feature films and created numerous entrepreneurial ventures. "Before I Self Destruct" is 50 Cent's latest CD and companion film.
