What Do You Think?

Accreditation

Pharmaceutical Gifts

From promotional pens to free lunches, the pharmaceutical industry spends billions of dollars wooing doctors each year.

Federal law forbids companies from paying doctors to prescribe drugs. Should gifts from drugmakers be banned too?

No; pharmaceutical companies should be allowed to promote their products without restrictions.

Yes; pharmaceutical companies should be banned from giving doctors free samples, free meals or gifts of any kind.

Drug companies should be restricted from giving doctors anything except free samples.

The pharmaceutical industry should follow its own voluntary code of marketing conduct that only permits modest working meals, small gifts and free samples.

Other/none of the above

(I've already taken the poll and want to see the results.)

Stay tuned for a schedule of online discussions with Road to Health experts.
