SESAME STREET Preschool Education Program

PEP KNME-TV is a participant in the SESAME STREET Preschool Education Program (PEP), turning hours spent at daycare into a rich educational opportunity for young children throughout New Mexico. KNME, with grants from Intel and Levi-Strauss, and working with the YWCA’s Carino Child Care Resource, has trained over 500 daycare providers to use storybook readings, stories, and songs from SESAME STREET, and related activities to create a fun, educational, interactive event for the over 6,000 youngsters in their care.
