The host
of the premiere Web-based service, VolunteerMatch, matches thousands
of volunteers with nonprofits. Whether it's building a house for Habitat
for Humanity, organizing an arts and crafts fair for inner city children,
or participating in an AIDS walk-a-thon, VolunteerMatch provides information
on volunteer events that fit everyone's interests and schedules. You
will also find "Virtual Volunteering," a research project on volunteer
activities which can be completed over the Internet, and information
and resources on volunteerism.

Second Harvest feeds hungry people by soliciting and distributing food
and grocery products through a nationwide network of affiliate food
banks.In addition to Kids Cafes, Second Harvest regional food banks

Research and Action Center's Campaign to End Child Hunger
FRAC and the Campaign provide coordination and support to a network
of advocates, food banks, program administrators and participants, policy
makers and others across the country to expand and protect programs
which help children grow and learn, particularly the School Breakfast
Program, the Summer Food Service Program for Children, the WIC Program,
and programs which provide meals and snacks to children in daycare and
before and after school programs.
