Twitter Chat: How to Avoid Ads for Kids, Share Meaningful Media Moments

As part of our ongoing series on Kids & Media, we had a recent live chat on Twitter with a group of parents to talk about how our kids use media. Special guests included MediaShift managing editor Courtney Lowery Cowgill, Common Sense Media's Caroline Knorr and PBS Parents' Tracey Wynne.

I was the moderator, and we had a good turnout in the Twittersphere. The discussion included how to limit screen time for kids, avoiding the deluge of ads on gaming sites, and some of parents' favorite shared-media moments with their children. And as a bonus, we had people suggest some of their favorite edutainment type apps and media. Check it out!
