"My nephew, Lance Corporal Zachary D. Smith, was killed in Afghanistan January 24, 2010, by a roadside bomb. I will always love him and long to see him again and feel his wonderful, loving hugs. Zach was a wonderful person, a true son of God and was deeply loved by his community as well as his family. He was so giving, always cheerful, helpful and full of love for all of us .To the families of all the other soldiers killed in action as well as the families of service members currently serving, I pray for God to bring you strength. Your loved one's sacrifice for our freedom is deeply appreciated."
