Each year Memorial Day reminds us anew to heed Abraham Lincoln’s call “to bind our nation’s wounds, to care for him who shall have borne the battle, and for his widow, and his orphan.”

Many soldiers and their families need help with relocation, medical care and benefits, education for themselves and their children and staying connected to military families who understand what they are facing, among other things. The pages to the left contain resources organized by general assistance, branch of service, era served and scholarships.

REFLECTIONS

"I was so moved by last night's [2007] presentation. I would like to know if there is some way I can write to some of the men and women in our Armed Forces in Iraq to let them know I am praying for them nightly. I pray also for their families - especially those who have lost someone that I may be free."
