THE CONCERT

Salute to Services

U.S. Marine Corps

Marine Corps Seal The Marine Corps serves as the aggressive tip of the U.S. military spear, with a reputation for prowess in combat. It is a smaller, more dynamic force than any other in the American arsenal, and the only forward-deployed force designed for expeditionary operations by air, land or sea. The Marine Corps motto Semper Fidelis, or "Semper Fi," meaning "Always Faithful" describes the Marines' commitment to each other, the organization and our country.

The U.S. Marines have defended and fought for the American people since before the Continental Congress approved the Declaration of Independence. Congress authorized two battalions of Marines on November 10, 1775 the official birth of the Marine Corps. Its force is rich in history and traditions upholding three core values that are the soul of its institution: honor, courage and commitment.
