"I just finished watching the Memorial Day Concert and could not be more pleased or moved. It made my own service more memorable and worth the time I did in service to our country. It's individuals such as all of you that bring comfort to the veterans of this country though the tributes and honors you bestow upon us."

Remembering Our Fallen
Share Tributes to Veterans and Our Fallen Heroes
There is no time limit one can put on grief, yet there are ways to honor and celebrate the lives and legacies of those we have lost. By sharing the stories of our loved ones and fallen heroes, and by taking comfort in the recollections shared by others, we awaken the spirit of remembrance and healing that marks Memorial Day.
Virtual Wall of Rememberance
The “National Memorial Day Concert” website is honored to host the “Virtual Wall of Remembrance,” featuring personal stories about our nation’s service men and women who were injured or gave their lives for our country. Written remembrances in the form of a letter, story, eulogy or even a poem can be posted. We also invite you to submit video tributes or photographs. Share stories with us.
Delivering Your Remembrances
Each year after the concert, we carefully read every one of your submitted messages. In the Fall, we hold remembrance ceremonies at the National Memorials in Washington, DC, to deliver prayers, words of gratitude and (at your request) your remembrances. Your submissions are deeply moving and inspiring. Thank you.
Veterans, Share Your Stories
Veterans, those of you who have served our country have a valuable legacy to share. Each veteran’s experience with war is an important part of history that should be passed on to future generations. If you have a veteran in your family, consider asking them about their experience. Visit the Veterans, Share Your Stories section to learn more.
Share Your Memorial Day Traditions
Those who have lost loved ones or friends in the United States Armed Forces understand that Memorial Day is not only a holiday for barbeques and celebrations, but it is a time for traditions that honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Learn about the Memorial Day traditions of others and share your own.
