 No More SATs?
Richard Atkinson, the president of the University of California, recently announced he wants to end the use of the SAT in admissions to the state university system. Atkinson asserted that the SATs are fundamentally flawed as tests, and that "America's overemphasis on the SAT is compromising our educational system." Scholar Michael Kirst discusses the future of standardized testing in the college admissions process.
