2009 Lincoln MKS
3.7-liter V6
273-horsepower
Starting at just over $40,000
Lincoln has always stood for American luxury, and for 2009 Lincoln's flagship is the all-new MKS full-size sedan. The MKS shares much of its architecture and is built in the same plant as the new Ford Flex Crossover.

Like Flex, a new rear suspension allows for both agile handling and a long wheel travel ride. 18, 19, and 20-inch tire and wheel packages are available.

Power comes from an MKS-exclusive 3.7-liter V6 with 273 horsepower and a 6-speed automatic for either front or all-wheel drive. Next year, it will be joined by Ford's new EcoBoost twin-turbo V6 which will pump out a V8-level 340 horsepower.

And it's all wrapped in concept car flavored styling with a very-American long hood and short rear deck profile. But, the wide chrome waterfall grille and adaptive head lights give this new Lincoln a bold and unique appearance.

It also is the first Lincoln to get Ford's new cap-less gas filler.

Things are also very Lincoln inside, with the cabin boasting plenty of premium wood-tone and leather, plus Ford's Sync voice activated entertainment and communications system.

Navigation and rear view camera are optional, as is a THX II 5.1 Surround Sound audio system with 12-channels and 600-watts of power.

"The Lincoln MKS has numerous high-tech features, efficient V6 power and still delivers the luxury that Lincoln is famous for, only now with ride and handling that rivals premium imports." – Dave Scrivener

The 2009 Lincoln MKS is in showrooms now, with prices starting at just over $40,000.
