Francisco has always been a great town for eating and for writing
about food. Patricia Unterman was for many years the restaurant
reviewer for The San Francisco Examiner and owner of the Hayes Street
Grill. Paula Wolfert has written several classic cookbooks including
Couscous and Other Good Foods from Morocco. Joan gets together with
her both old friends for Sephardic-inspired feasting by the Bay.
Patty makes Fatoush Salad, a Lebanese dish she learned to prepare
in Israel, while Paula makes an exotic recipe from Algeria of artichoke
hearts glazed with oranges, coriander and mint.
