Membership Vault provides your members the best PBS has to offer!
MVault is designed to be the gatekeeper for online digital services. You, as a station, determine thumbs-up or thumbs-down access per member for every digital service. So a service like membership video on demand (MVOD) will query MVault to determine if a viewer is allowed access. Future digital services will do the same, making it easy for stations to adopt new offerings without additional work. In addition, new online users that are interested in your station will are also recorded in MVault. These new prospective members are made available to your station for development purposes.
The following three diagrams illustrate the steps involved for each type of interaction supported by MVault, whether it is with existing, new, or prospective members.
The only information needed is: Name, Email, Offer, Station Member ID, and start/end dates of membership.
It depends on how frequently you want the membership updated. It can be done quarterly, daily, or if you build API integration, within seconds of a new member registration in your CRM.
MVault does not directly integrate to any CRM. The data is pulled and inserted into MVault using an external process or maybe a built-in module for the CRM.
No, this is something the station must do since MVault does not have the full membership record.
A user who is a member of more than one station will have a single PBS ID, but multiple records – one for each station membership. Each record will have its own activation code.
You can use the US Postal service to deliver activation codes to members who do not have email.
Name, email, social login provider.
Not at this time, but we intend to eventually provide this information either individually or in aggregate.
There is an available API endpoint you can use to view this data in the console along with the timestamp.
We intend to be very permissive and use a 24/7 automated support tool to issue a temporary activation code. The support tool will collect additional information so that station personnel will be able to validate membership during regular business hours.
Simply manually add the member/donor to MVault to your station via the web console.
At this time, there is only one digital service offered: MVOD. So until additional digital services are added, setup is quite simple.
No, only designated station personnel will be authorized to see or edit the list.
Currently, there are no off-the-shelf solutions to use the API. However, most common languages like PHP and Python can easily leverage the API.
You can use the API, web console for individuals, or export to XLS.
MVault was designed as a permissive system, which means that when a new member completes the activation process, they are granted immediate access to your offer benefits. On the back-end, they are flagged as "provisional", so you can verify that your new member is in good standing (i.e. the check or and credit card clears). This setting is invisible to the member. Based on verification, you can then remove the "provisional" flag and they remain active, or you can deactivate the member.
