The Great Sand Dunes as told to Carter Baldwin
I lived in Colorado for the younger years of my life. When I was seventeen or eighteen I would go to the Great Sand Dunes with friends and just get away from everything. The weather at the Great Sand Dunes was cold. I would wear a vest most of the time when I would go to visit the Great Sand Dunes. When you would pull up to the Great Sand Dunes, all you would see is hills and mountains everywhere. My friends and I would roll down the hills in big truck tires; we would crash into each other as we were coming down the hills of sands. My first prom my mom and dad let me stay out until the sun came up. We lined up our trucks and sat on the tailgates until the sun came up. It was a very pretty site to watch the sun come up over the mountains. There were all types of animals; jack rabbits, bobcats, deer, and eagles were around. My friends and I would go and camp out at the Great Sand Dunes and ride dune buggies and three-wheelers around the park. I fell off the three-wheeler one time; it was the worst thing that happened to me. One of my friends broke his leg. The Great Sand Dunes is a beautiful place.
