Where Best to Invest - 2007

posted by Melissa Harmon, Senior Producer at 6:47 PM on 01/12/07

Where Best to Invest Title Graphic"Where Best to Invest" is NBR's annual look at the sectors our Market Monitor guests believe will outperform the broader market. This year, our Market Monitors like the tech, industrial, healthcare product, generic drug, and beverage sectors. NBR's team of correspondents takes an in-depth look at each of those sectors and the factors that might affect their performance in 2007. Also, Anchor Paul Kangas looks at the big picture for '07 in interviews with Randall Eley, President of Edgar Lomax Company, and Hilary Kramer, Personal Finance Editor at AOL.com.

I'm pulling double duty on "Where Best to Invest" -- producing the program as well as the in-depth report on the beverage sector. Jim Stack of Investech Research is the NBR Market Monitor who singled this sector out as one to watch. He likes the "recession resilience" of the big cap soft drink makers.

And, as my report will explain, beverage manufacturers -- while coming off a strong '06 -- could still add some pop to your portfolio in '07.

What do you think of the "Where Best to Invest" picks for '07? Were you already planning to invest in the sectors? Or, will you shy away from some of them, despite what our Market Monitors say?
